I made the middle words move around a shape on 4D design and allowed the words to be seen on 2 sides of the shape, almost like a backwards shadow or a conveyer belt.
I then saved this and imported it into After Effects where I changed the background and added the top banner and music- which I edited and shortened down in GarageBand.
I got two of the same song and cut them down and put them together to create a smoother ending.for the top banner i made the words move across the screen by changing the poition on the words horizonally throughout the time sequence.
First get a shape under this Cube button, then add the material we made earlier to it To give this cube the action of meltingI have to put it directly beneath it and attached to it, so not like this!
Under the Melt tab to make it melt in a sequence of a video I changed the strength of the effect along the bar. I went to the beginning and put it as 0% and clicked the red button and went all the way to the end and clicked the upwards arrow until it got to 100% and then i clicked the red button again to achieve this result.

Adobe Illustrator is a vector graphics editor developed and marketed by Adobe Inc. Vector graphics are extremely important in graphic design because no matter how big they are scaled they don’t loose their quality
‘Kerning’ The individual spacing between each character alt + left and right keys = make spacing between each character (kerning)
‘Leading’ spacing between each word alt + up and down keys = make spacing between words (leading)
alt + drag = copy
alt + shift = scale from center
cmd C + cmd F = paste on top
cmd + G = group
cmd + 2 = lock
cmd + shift + 2 = unlock
alt + drag + cmd + D = duplicate
cmd + [ ] = move layers, forwards/backwards cmd + [ ] + shift = straight to front/straight to back
cmd + shift + < > = makes things bigger/smaller cmd + shift + < > + alt = makes bigger/smaller quicker

When After Effects is open you have to go to Composition on the top bar tab and click New Composition. For worldwide screen size the Width has to be 1080px and the height has to be 1920px and the preset has to be HDTV 1080 25. We set the frame rate to 25 frames per second and the duration was 10 seconds, this is set looking like this, 0:00:10:0
To export a After Effects file into a movie you have to go to File, Add to Render Que then when its there you have to change the Output Module from lossless to Apple ProRes 4444 by clicking format options and then going to the drop down menu on Video codec and finding it there. You need to also change the Output to where you want your video to be saved and then change the name of the file.
Benjy Brooke for The Strokes. This illustration for a music video is very colourful and futuristic, however the illustrations are simple and have sort of a comic book kind of feel which I like. The music video tends to fit around the music and I think in this case, even though the lyrics aren’t particularly around the contents and story of the music video the mood of the song fits with the mood in the video due to it being quite slow and thoughtful just like the song. I also think that it allows the viewers can relate the lyrics to the story in their own personal ways even without being concious of it. I think it is important to extend the mood of the video/animation through the use of music with a similar mood.
I love this short logo motiongraphics for the telegraph as it gives it a a classic, well established theme by making it look as though its been shown on old black and white TV. This shows that telegraph has been round for many years and is a very well known brand. I would love to use a vintage effect on some of my work.
This short animation by Mutoff is a nice simple idea which doesn’t seem to make sense, however because of the powerful and well known logo behind the PRADA brand and what the brand represents, it almost doesn’t matter about what the animation is as long as it looks nice. I want to create the same sort of status for my brand.
I love the animation on this Calvin Klein website by Alexander Barhon because it adds some individuality, flair and excitment to the website. The animation is clean and it looks high class which is important due to the brand being well known and established. I want to incorpoate some little animations in my portfolio website to make my website and brand stand out more and look more professional and established.
This workshop was based on making Interactive documents with various media on InDesign and how to export the file correctly so that the file remained interactive.
We started out recreating an album cover on InDesign. We then made the circles interactive so that if a certain button was pressed it would take us to a specific page.select the shape you want to create into a button.right click>Interactive>Convert to Button.I wanted the button to be made obvious it was a button when the mouse glided over it, so i changed the event to ‘On Roll Over’ t=so the button would change colour, shape, size when the mouse was over it even before it is clicked.I changed the view of the button at different stages. I then linked the button to certain pages.Make a button take you to a specific page by clicking Actions when you create the button and then choosing where you want it to take you.
Using artists to create the individual letters ANESG using their style of art. I like the bottom alphabet because its bold and it looks like ancient Aztec drawings and tattoos. It look fun and exotic. I don’t really like the top alphabet mainly because it doesn’t hold a theme throughout the letters and is a bit random, I don’t think they individual letters work well together.experimenting with colour and thinking outside the box with my letters. Creating something different. I like these alphabets because they are made up of different components, like lines and circles, and what looks like the letters cut out of pieces of paper, they’re fun and out of the of the ordinary alphabets.Developing my ideas more and beginning to get a feel for the kind of alphabet I want to draw. quick sketches of my alphabet to figure out spacing and how they’ll all look together. I like this alphabet because it is quite childish due to it being rounded and lowercase. However it could also look professional in bold black and on a simplistic background. This alphabet is thick and thin in different places, this makes it look distorted and stretched which I like.Final alphabets, this is very blocky and bold. I like how all of these letters join together and that they are not coloured on the inside the letters are actually just outlines.Another final alphabet, a different perspective on blocks. I like the depth and realness of this alphabet due to the shading I have done on the letters.
